Kareem’s Journey - From Ruins to Reddam
Date Published

“Education was my anchor during the storm. It gave me hope and a sense of purpose.” – Kareem
“I lived through moments of despair that no parent should ever face—watching my son’s dreams hang by a thread. But thanks to the support from Inspired and Horizons Academy, that darkness turned into light, and today I see my son stepping into a future filled with promise and purpose.” – Kareem’s Father
After months of displacement and uncertainty, Kareem Hammad has finally found a place to call home—far from the destruction of Gaza and within the historic walls of Reddam House Berkshire in the UK. His journey is a powerful testament to resilience and the transformative power of education.
Forced to leave behind everything familiar—the scent of orange blossoms in his garden, the rhythm of daily life in Gaza—Kareem endured a year of instability across Egypt and Oman. Each border crossing was a trial, each visa rejection a crushing blow. Yet, through it all, he never gave up.
When his UK visa was still uncertain, the Inspired Education Group stepped in. They enrolled him in Kings InterHigh, their online school, so that his education would not be interrupted. Later, while in Oman, they placed him at Knowledge Gate International School (KGIS), ensuring he had both continuity and community.
Today, thanks to a full scholarship from the Inspired Education Group, Kareem has begun his studies at Reddam House Berkshire—embracing a safe and stable learning environment and a new chapter full of possibility.
