Horizons Academy Opens New Office in Egypt
Date Published

We are delighted to announce the opening of our new Horizons Academy office in Cairo, Egypt—an important milestone in our mission to empower gifted students, including those in the diaspora, with the tools and opportunities they need to thrive.
Our Cairo office is now home to 42 Gaza students in grades 9 to 12 who, after months of displacement, are rebuilding their lives and education. Through academic support, mentorship, English classes, leadership sessions, and university preparation, we are helping them grow into resilient, well-rounded individuals ready to excel globally.
From July 30 to August 4, 2025, we hosted our annual Summer School in Cairo. Each grade level followed a tailored program: ninth graders explored creativity and adaptability, tenth graders focused on major and track selection, eleventh graders crafted their personal statements, and twelfth graders prepared their university applications and motivation letters.
The impact was deeply personal. “The personal statement course helped me express my journey in ways I never thought possible,” said Ahmad, an 11th grader. Naema, in grade 10, reflected, “Choosing a major is no longer overwhelming.” For Kenzy, a 9th grader, “the creative mindset activities pushed me out of my comfort zone—and I loved every moment.”
With this new hub, Horizons Academy is better positioned to provide year-round support, preparing our students not only for academic success but also for their roles as future leaders, change makers, and global citizens.
